We build custom software for companies all over the Indianapolis area.
QOS Software builds custom software — web and mobile apps, enterprise systems, e-commerce, API integrations, and UI/UX — for companies across ten central Indiana counties: Marion, Hamilton, Boone, Hendricks, Johnson, Hancock, Morgan, Shelby, Madison, and Delaware. That covers the full Indianapolis metro, from downtown out to Carmel, Fishers, Anderson, Muncie, and Greenwood. Outside those counties? We work statewide and nationwide — just ask.
We’re remote-first, so day-to-day development, design, and project work doesn’t depend on where your office sits. When a project benefits from being in the room — discovery workshops, stakeholder interviews, on-site testing — we come to you across the metro. The map shows the ten counties; the section below covers how we work inside them and at the edges.
In the Chicago metro instead? See our Illinois service areas.
Tell us your city or county and we’ll confirm the same business day — no obligation. On the edge of the map? We’ll tell you exactly what building software with us looks like from there.
Two things decide whether we’re a fit: what you need built and where you are. We build custom software of almost any kind — here’s the honest version of the “where.”
Remote across Indiana. Development, design, code review, and day-to-day project work happen online, so distance inside the state is rarely a barrier. If you’re in Indiana and we’re not physically nearby, that changes nothing about how we deliver.
On-site across the metro. When a project genuinely benefits from face-to-face work — early discovery, mapping a messy existing workflow, or training your team at handoff — we travel to you across Indianapolis and the surrounding counties.
Just outside the counties below? Ask us anyway. The county list is where we’re most active, not a fence. We work with clients statewide and nationwide, so being one county over never rules you out — tell us where you are and we’ll tell you straight.
Tell us where you are and what you're trying to build, and we'll tell you honestly whether we're the right fit — no obligation, no sales pressure.
Where we're most active across Central Indiana — one county at a time.
Indianapolis, Lawrence, Beech Grove, and Speedway — the capital core and our densest concentration of software clients, from downtown out to Castleton.
Carmel, Fishers, Noblesville, and Sheridan — the fast-growing north metro, covered end to end.
Zionsville, Lebanon, and Whitestown — remote and on-site delivery across the I-65 corridor northwest of the city.
Avon, Plainfield, Brownsburg, and Danville — the west metro and the Plainfield airport corridor.
Greenwood, Franklin, Bargersville, and Whiteland — the south-metro I-65 corridor.
Greenfield, Fortville, McCordsville, and New Palestine — the east metro along I-70 and US-40.
Martinsville and Mooresville — our southwest edge: remote-first by default, on-site as the project needs.
Shelbyville and Morristown — our southeast edge: remote-first delivery, on-site visits as the work requires.
Anderson, Alexandria, Elwood, and Pendleton — the northeast metro up the SR-9 / I-69 corridor.
Muncie, Yorktown, Albany, and Eaton — our northeast edge around Muncie and Ball State, remote-first with on-site when it helps.
Coverage is only half the question — here’s what we actually build. Every engagement is custom, scoped to your business, and handed over as software you own.
Both. Most of our custom software development — coding, design, project management, and reviews — happens remotely, so we work with clients across Indiana and nationwide. When a project benefits from in-person work, like discovery workshops or team training, we come on-site across Indianapolis and Central Indiana.
You can still work with us. The counties we list are where we're most active in Central Indiana, not a hard boundary. We deliver remotely statewide and nationwide, so being just outside the list doesn't rule you out — tell us where you are and we'll confirm.
Yes. Indiana is our home market and the Chicago metro is our growing second market, but our remote-first delivery lets us build custom software for clients anywhere in the United States. Location rarely affects how a software project is scoped or delivered.
We build custom software only — web and mobile apps, enterprise systems, e-commerce, and integrations. Managed IT and help-desk support are handled by our sister company, QOS MSP, and AI agents or automation by QOS Agentic. If you need one of those, we'll point you to the right team.
No. You can start entirely remotely — discovery calls, scoping, and project updates all happen online. If you'd prefer to meet in person and you're in the Indianapolis area, we're happy to, but it's never required to work with us.
